When we think of healthy foods, we look at fruits, veggies, whole grains, nuts etc. Though all of these items are quite essential to a healthy lifestyle (and won’t necessarily make you gain weight) they can prevent you from losing weight. Fruits and vegetables contain sugar and other carbohydrates – and certain kinds are positively loaded with them. Nuts have a lot of fat content, however some of this is really good fat like mono and polyunsaturated fats. Since the human body will always burn consumed sugars before it will burn any stored fat, for the purpose of weight loss, it is vital to elimanate these kinds of sugar and / or carbohydrate-loaded foods from your diet temporarily and reintroduce them once you have achieved your weight loss goal. You would also need to find good sources of protein to sustain your muscle mass.
