10 Unexpected Benefits of Exercising via The Huffington Post

BBQ season is here – and so begins Summer Splurge 2013. We all have a tendency to indulge ourselves more this time of year, whether it be with food or by cutting back on our exercise routines to lounge in the sun. This fantastic article by the Huffington Post explains some unexpected benefits of exercising. Even just a few hours of physical activity a week can provide immeasurable benefits to our mind and bodies.  To break it down mathematically for you: If one were to exercise for a total of 2 hours every week, that person would have used up a “whopping” 1.2% of their week. By comparison, sleeping occupies 29% of our week.

Think about it!

My hope is that this article will provide a little added motivation to stay active this Memorial Day Weekend as we feast on our favorite comfort foods.
